The event coordinator is responsible for the success of events from conception through to completion. Key tasks include the booking, planning, organization and execution of a wide range of events at The Fifth including corporate parties, industry events, fundraisers and weddings. This position is perfect for the candidate who enjoys working with others, loves creating one-of-a-kind events and is a master of multi-tasking as the coordinator will be managing multiple events at once.


  • Provide event consultation for potential clients and book new events
  • Liaise and coordinate with all parties involved in the planning, scheduling, preparation and delivery of events including clients, vendors, our chef, sommelier and front-of-house management
  • Prepare event supplies (seating charts, menus and all other supplies requested by clients)
  • Assist with event set-up as required
  • Occasionally assist with an event on a weekend or an evening if this special service is required
  • Calculate quotes, manage event budgets and payment schedules


  • Must have a love for special event management, extraordinary attention to detail and be an enthusiastic professional
  • Responsible for the success of events from conception through to completion
  • Must be able to build professional relationships with new and existing clients and provide high quality customer service
  • Anticipate and manage project needs with little supervision
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Although this position is based on regular working hours, willingness to work the occasional evening or weekend is required
  • Must become familiar with and be able to sell all venues
  • Must be able to work with a team
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
